Drake or Dreki is the name of the Scandinavian boats (the drake, usually the ornament of the bow), known between 700 and 1’000 AD. Made of oak (boards piled up like slate ). It is a kind of whale fishing-boat and has a very solid shape with a length of appox. 75ft and a width of 15ft. It was used with sails and oars by the feared Vikings.
